Chris Roy, President and Owner of Cherokee Builders, Inc., has been building quality homes for over 10 years. Chris comes from a long line of construction, with both a grandfather and father in the construction business. She builds with pride and confidence that her homes are built right.
Roy is a longstanding member of the Newton County community. She moved here from the Midwest more than 15 years ago. Her company, Cherokee Builders specializes in new home construction. Here, you will find large kitchens and lots of closets. All of Chris' homes are Certified Good Cents by Snapping Shoals EMC, so you can be sure your home is energy efficient.
An added bonus is that Chris handles the construction of your new home herself. From start to finish, she ensures the quality of your home. Chris is an active part of the Newton County Homebuilders Association. She currently serves on the Board of Directors. Chris is also a member of both the Georgia and National Association of Builders.

Company founders Bob Mathis and his wife, Jo Ann, have been in the building industry for 35 years. Bob and Jo Ann are currently retired in Florida but are still with Mathis Builders, Inc. on a consultative basis. Bob's degree in Architecture/Building Construction from Southern Tech allows Mathis Builders, Inc. to customize home plans and give the customer the home they desire!
David Mathis, President, has been in the home building business for over 17 years and is pleased to take the reigns from his father. He is following the family tradition of building quality homes in the Rockdale/Newton area. David has been married to his wife, Tracy, for 17 years and she is also an active part of Mathis Builders, Inc. as secretary/treasurer. They have three children, Bryan, Tristen, and Bailey.

David Thompson Homes
David Thompson, owner and president of David Thompson Homes, has been building houses for 25 years. He is licensed in the State of Georgia under the strenuous new builder guidelines. David is an on the job builder and makes himself available to potential clients and homeowners. He has a gift for design and every home has custom touches from the cabinetry and mouldings to the paint colors and floor coverings. You only find this attention to detail in the most exclusive homes. Professionals in the building industry have even sought him to build their own personal homes. David has had one of his homes win a design award and is featured on a popular home plan website.
He has built in exclusive neighborhoods such as Westchester Lakes, Watkins Glen, Irwin Place, Brookfield Station, and Lake Dow, just to name a few. He has built houses in all price ranges, but in the past 5 years he has been building houses in the $400,000 - $500,000 price range. He is currently building homes in Little River Estates, South River Manor, and Klondike Heights, which range in price from $350,000 to $1 Million.
